LISTING GUIDE

From pricing to photography, this is your guide to a successful listing.

pricing

(i.e. If I just paid $240 for a Shona Joy dress this season.  I would price it between $48-$60 per 4 day rental period.)

WHAT IS THE RRP (RECOMMENDED RETAIL PRICE)?

we recommend pricing your item no more than 20%-25% of the rrp (recommended retail price).

other things to consider:

If your item is more than a couple years old, and it’s been well used, you might consider pricing it lower.

If your item needs to be dry cleaned, add these fees into the price.

You may add 10% for the customer to pay for the Guarantee Policy.

PHOTOGRAPHY

Place your subject (you / your item) directly in front of a window or glass door for even lighting, if possible.  Otherwise, the window can be to the side, and turn your subject towards the light.

FIND GOOD LIGHTING

INDOORS: FIND A NICE BIG WINDOW OR GLASS DOOR FOR NATURAL LIGHT

OUTDOORS: SHOOT IN THE SHADE FOR NICE EVEN SHADOWS

DESCRIPTION

Describe your item or outfit in as much detail as possible. What material is it? What condition is it in? Are there any notable details? It’s also helpful if you describe how it fits, and if it fits true to size.

A good description will help manage the expectation of your renters, or customers, so that there’s no surprises. It’s also beneficial to keyword searches when customers are looking for something specific. Your description could help someone find their perfect outfit!
